The EcoeFISHent Approach
This Training Unit is organized into two lessons:
The lesson introduces the EcoeFISHent project and its six interconnected Circular Value Chains, designed to transform fisheries and fish industry side streams into valuable resources across multiple industrial sectors. The six circular value chains are: 1. From fish to food; 2. From fish to comsetics; 3. From fish to packaging; 4. From fish to soil; 5. From soil to soil; 6. From fishing nets to cars and packaging.
At the core of the EcoeFISHent ecosystem lies the Cluster Digital Twin, a virtual representation of the territorial cluster that enables integrated data collection, monitoring, and analysis. By connecting stakeholders, processes, and material flows, the Digital Twin supports sustainability assessment, economic evaluation, scenario simulation, and replicability studies, fostering informed decision-making and the deployment of circular economy models in new territories.
