CVC 1 - From Fish to Food
This Training Unit is organised in form of macro training unit, including:
- An introduction (overview) about the Circular Value Chain from Fish to Food and how it has been developed within the project
- The schema of the different processes of the CVC1, exploited thanks to the EcoeFISHent project.
Being the CVC1, CVC2 and CVC3, based on the “organic valorisation”, with common concepts the schemas will show the three value chains, but only the blocks of the CVC1 from Fish to Food is outlined with an active link to the lessons.
Each “blue box” is exploded in the different related processes of the value chain in order to outline the general process and the related product/chain of processes.

The “From Fish to Food” Circular Value Chain transforms fish-processing side streams into high-value ingredients for food supplements and nutraceutical products. Through innovative and sustainable valorization processes, underutilized food-grade fish biomass becomes a source of bioactive compounds with health-promoting potential. By converting fish side streams into valuable nutraceutical ingredients, CVC1 supports waste reduction, resource efficiency, and the sustainable use of marine resources, creating added value for both human health and the circular economy
