On the last 29 and 30 May, the EcoeFISHent General Meeting M18 took place in Sofia at Kitchen 59 Hotel.
The two-days meeting was hosted and organized by our partner Nasekomo, the only insect rearing factory in South-East Europe, located in Bulgaria.
All 34 partners were engaged with fruitful exchanging moments under the coordination of FILSE and Project Hub 360.
During the first day, partners discussed the work carried out in the first 18 months of the project, and met together to explore the Tasks and activities related to Fishing nets and Fish boxes development and recycling, the management of sample, the logistic platform and digital twin development.
An overview on the next activities was scheduled for the second day, together with a working group session on communication and dissemination.
Nasekomo Insect Center
At the end of the second day, all the partners moved to Nasekomo Insect Center of Excellence near Sofia, in order to make themselves aware of bioconversion process and the technical-scientific update related to the project. The visit was introduced by Nasekomo Co-Founder Marc Bolard.
Inside the plant Kamen Vasilev and Mirena Zhelezarova from Nasekomo, guided the partners into all the steps, from larva breeding to the final product.
