On the last November 3rd and 4th, EcoeFISHent partners met for the month 12 General Assembly hosted by GOMEH and CLOUD Consulting in Herzliya (Israel).

On the last November 3rd and 4th, EcoeFISHent partners met for the month 12 General Assembly hosted by GOMEH and CLOUD Consulting in Herzliya (Israel).

The 2-days fully-immersive event was held both in presence and online.
After welcome speeches by Maria Nives Riggio – FILSE Vice Director and by Stefania Truffa from Project Hub, all the partners met together to discuss project latest achievements.
The agenda included four working groups, a general overview of the work packages status,  and a Governing Board meeting.

The four working groups, held in parallel, were focused on the project main themes:

Organic Side-streams flows and value Chains
– Plastics & Bioplastics Side-streams flows and value Chains
– Logistic and Regulation
– Communication, Training and Stakeholders engagement

Partners had a brainstorming on issues and goals transversal to different WPs, in order to clarify the different areas of the project as well as to collect open issues, ideas and requests from participants.
Specifically they had a debate on the issues related to gelatine extracted by fish side-streams.
The first Eco-Fish-Box prototype was also presented: it’s obtained from agro side-streams, made of Expanded Polylactic Acid,it’s compostable and will replace Expanded Polystyrene fish boxes.
Training and capacity building topics was deepened as well.
During the WPs general overview, each WP leader described the work carried out over the last six months, along with the submitted/incoming deliverables and milestones.
Finally, the Governing Board meeting was very useful to discuss general issues related to the project.
